CVS MyChart Features

CVS Health through MyChart offers you a new front page in the patient portal and has a lot more functionality. The CVS MyChart secure website and  app also make it easy to schedule appointments, participate in video visits, pay your bills, and initiate an E-visit when you have non-urgent medical needs.

CVS MyChart Features and Benefits

Some of these new features includes;

If you would like to sign up for CVS MyChart, you can sign up online or follow the step-by-step guide. You can also ask to sign up for CVS MyChart account the next time you see your CVS Health provider at any branch.

If you already have an activation code, create an account now on the CVS Health MyChart site or on the CVS MyChart App page. The CVS MyChart app is just like the MyChart app only with more functionality before logging in.

View Your Lab and Test Results

Most lab results are available in CVS MyChart within one business day after being processed. Some results may take longer if your provider needs to review and discuss them with you first.

Schedule Primary Care and MinuteClinic Visits

You can view available appointment times with CVS MinuteClinic or other participating providers directly through CVS MyChart. Schedule routine checkups, sick visits, or follow-up appointments at your convenience.

Participate in Telehealth Visits

CVS offers virtual visits to connect you with healthcare providers for safe, convenient care from home. These visits take place using secure videoconferencing via your mobile device or computer. In some cases, you may also request an E-visit, which allows you to send a detailed message to a provider without needing a video call.

Which Telehealth Service Should I Use?

If You Have a CVS MyChart Account
Most telehealth services require a CVS MyChart account. Through your account, you can schedule virtual visits with a provider you’ve seen before, request E-visits, and manage upcoming appointments. If you’re new or need help scheduling, you can call CVS customer service or visit a participating CVS Health location.

If You Don’t Have an Account
You can create a CVS MyChart account online at mychart.cvshealth.com, you may visit the CVS MyChart Sign Up page, or request an activation code during your next visit. For immediate care without an account, you can visit a MinuteClinic location in person or explore walk-in telehealth options available on the CVS website.

Pay Your Medical Bills

View your billing summary and securely pay your medical bills through CVS MyChart. For more information on payment options and insurance, visit CVS Health’s billing page.

Use E-visits to Send a Secure Message to Your Care Team

E-visits allow you to message your care team securely for non-urgent medical concerns. They are a convenient way to get care without scheduling an in-person or video appointment. E-visits can be initiated anytime and are typically answered within one business day. Charges may apply depending on your insurance coverage.

Arrange Care for Your Family

With proxy access in CVS MyChart, you can manage health information for family members, such as children or elderly parents. Proxy access must be authorized and complies with federal privacy laws. You can request this access through your CVS MyChart account settings.

View Portions of Your Medical Record

Your CVS MyChart account provides easy access to your medical history, including your health summary, medications, immunizations, past and upcoming appointments, and test results.

Request Prescription Renewals

Send renewal requests for your medications directly to your provider through CVS MyChart. You’ll be notified when your prescription is ready or if further information is needed.

Receive Personalized Resources Through Digital Care

Your provider may share helpful tools like videos, care instructions, or educational materials tailored to your health needs. These can be accessed through the “Digital Care” section in your CVS MyChart account, either online or via the app.
